Guadeloupe’s leading boutique hotel has relaunched following the completion of a multi-year renovation project.
The Sainte-Anne-area hotel reopened earlier this month after a two-month closure to complete the two-year, $13.9 million transformation project.

The relaunched hotel is effectively an entirely new property, from the bungalows and interiors to the hotel’s on-site spa, restaurant and lobby.
The hotel is owned by Des Hotels & Des Iles, a French Caribbean hotel chain.
“It’s a new hotel,” Des Hotels & Des Iles’ Carole Adam told Caribbean Journal.

Puerto Rico’s legendary El San Juan hotel is now targeting a December reopening.
The landmark 388-room hotel in Isla Verde will hold its grand reopening on Dec. 14.
The property, which has been shuttered since Hurricane Maria, had originally been slated to debut this month.

We are experience-ready with a rejuvenated look, incomparable amenities and authentic, island hospitality.”
The property has undergone an “extensive restoration,” that included the hotel’s rooms, the poolside and oceanfront villas, public spaces, pools and landscaping, among other changes.
El San Juan had undergone a $65 million renovation project before the storm.
“The reopening of El San Juan Hotel comes at a perfect time during Puerto Rico’s holiday season—which happens to be one of the longest in the world,” said Leah Chandler, Chief Marketing Officer of Discover Puerto Rico, in a statement. “Luxury offerings like El San Juan appeal strongly to leisure and business travelers who seek impeccable service, rich amenities and reimagined accommodations.
