A new all-inclusive brand is coming to the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao later this month.
Fast-expanding Apple Leisure Group’s AMResorts subsidiary is set to open its new Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa and Casino on Dec. 15, according to the company.
The new resort is the product of a renovation and rebranding of the former Hilton Curaçao resort.
What one of the new eateries will look like.
The property is completing a $15 million renovation project, AMResorts said.
The family-friendly resort is set on Piscadera Bay on the southern coast of Curacao, a major addition to what has traditionally been a sparse all-inclusive offering in Curaçao, with the exception of AMResorts’ Sunscape Curaçao, which first debuted on the island back in 2012.
Curaçao’s all-inclusive sector will continue to grow over the next few years, as another major company, Marriott, recently announced plans to open an all-inclusive resort on the island under its Autograph Collection brand.
Dining concepts will include seven eateries and four bars, along with the Dreams brand’s signature “unlimited luxury” all-inclusive concept.
The resort will also feature a a spa with indoor and outdoor treatment options, according to the property’s Web site.

Both of those are in Great Abaco; the Abaco Inn is the first hotel to reopen on Elbow Cay.
Amenities at the Abaco Inn include a restaurant, a bar and lounge, a pool and Wi-Fi, among others.
The property is set close to two different beaches, one on the Sea of Abaco and another on the Atlantic side.
The property lost four villas and four rooms as a result of the storm.
“Our goal is to rise like a phoenix and make the Abaco Inn even better, stronger and more welcoming,” said Tom Hazel, manager of the Abaco Inn, in a letter to guests. “We hope to be a part of bringing Elbow Cay back to life as we all rebuild and reinvigorate our community.”

“If you want to run away from the world, you just come here,” Loretta tells us.
And as soon as you walk past the koi pond down to the pool and look out, you agree.
Because while staggering beauty abounds in the Caribbean. there’s a particular surfeit of it in the British Virgin Islands, that sought-after archipelago that draws boats and travelers and dreamers from around the world to gaze at its gorgeous green-hilled vistas.
The Baths, the most famous wonder of Virgin Gorda.
And yet, even in a chain of islands this dazzlingly beautiful, there is something extra on the island of Virgin Gorda.
It’s here where the beauty marries a kind of mystical energy.
Maybe it’s the boulders; maybe it’s the sand, but there’s something very special in Virgin Gorda, a primordial current that seems to run through the place.
And there is no more spectacular spot to look out at Virgin Gorda’s wonders than here, up on the Princess Quarters, high above The Baths.
This is the Red Rock Villa, where Loretta Plummer, along with colleague Kellon Cuffie (above) ensure that those who check in, well, never want to leave.
The pool at Red Rock.
Designed by German architect Hubert Horbach, it’s one of the leading villas in the BVI, a complex that include a two-story main house, a three-bedroom suite house and, most notably, a full-fledged, on-site spa.
Red Rock Villa.
It’s the latter that has helped turn the villa into a wellness destination in its own right; but it’s the pool and the views that take a beautiful villa to the next level.
There’s an on-site spa.

The views are hard to beat.
And then there are the amenities: the daily housekeeping, the Nespresso, the Clairins toiletries, the concierge services, all wonderful touches, all of which turn help to turn a villa into a destination.
But when you get in the cliffside pool and look out, the only things you can think about are the shades of blue, those mysterious rocks, the islands across from you.
The sort of place to come if you want to run away from the world. And never leave.
