7 We Buy Houses Companies in Atlanta

When you need to sell your home quickly or can’t afford to take care of extensive repairs for the home, you can reach out to a We Buy Houses in Atlanta company to take the property off your hands. In general, it takes about eighty days for a house to sell traditionally on the market, whereas with a We Buy Houses company, you can sell your home in less than one week.

Of course, with this convenience does come a catch that you may not receive the true value of your home from these types of companies. Fortunately, you have many options to choose from when it comes to selling your home quickly and for the right price. Please continue reading below to learn more about We Buy Houses in Atlanta and an alternative way to sell your home that will most likely yield you more cash.

What Is a We Buy Houses for Cash Company?

We Buy Houses companies are typically real estate investors looking to purchase properties to fix and flip to make a profit. They usually offer homebuyers less than the market value for their homes to compensate for the costs of repairs. If you agree with their offer, they can provide you with cash within a few days.

Although most of these companies are legit, a few aren’t, so you will want to make sure you research the company before you sign anything. There have been instances where clients sold their homes but did not receive money from an investor or received less than promised.

How We Buy Houses Companies Work

Because these companies pay with cash and not with any type of financing, the entire sale process moves pretty quickly. The traditional listing process takes about two to eight weeks to prep and stage the home.

Most homeowners don’t receive an offer for about a month and a half and the time to close takes about a month or so, depending on the situation. In general, the minimum time to sell a house traditionally is about eighty days.

With a We Buy Houses, all of that time cuts down more than half. You won’t have to prep the home, and the time to offer is sometimes as quick as 24 hours or less. The closing timeline depends entirely on you.

Most people close within seven days, whereas some others don’t want to close for two weeks or so. The minimum time to sell is between seven to ten days.

We Buy Houses Process

Most We Buy Houses companies follow the same procedures when it comes to making an offer and closing out the sale. Each company has its own benefits and advantages, but they generally abide by the following steps.

Step One: Submit an Offer

A homeowner will send in their information about their personal contact and their home. If the house meets the criteria the We Buy Houses Company is looking for; they will reach out to you. Some companies provide you with a rough estimate of what they will pay.

Step Two: Review the Property

A representative from the company will come out there to evaluate the land or property. If there are any major repairs, they will most likely deduct that from the final offer. At this point, they will provide you with their “as-is” offer for your house.

Step Three: Accept the Offer and Close

If you agree with the offer, you can close within a few days. There is no need to wait on any financing to pull through; no final inspections and no appraisals are needed. Most companies close within seven days.

Step Four: Sell the Home for a Profit

Once you are out of the home, the We Buy Houses company will come and repair the house. Once they finish, they will either put the house on the market or use it as a rental property.

Pros of We Buy Houses in Atlanta

Several different advantages and disadvantages come with using these companies. One of the biggest benefits is the fact that you can sell the house quickly, even if it needs serious repairs. Some people facing foreclosure also use this as a viable option.

Speed and Certainty

Disadvantages of We Buy Houses Companies

Although there are many excellent benefits to working with these companies, there are a few that you should disadvantages that you should be aware of. For example, many of these companies provide you with “as-is” offers.

This means there is usually no room for negotiation on their offer. Once they send someone to view the home and check out the repairs, they will provide you with their final offer. If you decide you don’t like the offer, you will most likely need to find another company.

American Airlines Adds Antigua Flights as Demand at “All-Time High”

It’s been one of the hottest destinations in the Caribbean amid the pandemic and now Antigua and Barbuda is set for even more airlift with demand at an “all-time high.”

American Airlines has announced it will be increasing its flights to the twin-island destination, with plans to extend its daily service from New York to Antigua’s VC Bird International Airport through the early fall and winter tourist seasons.

The new schedule means Antigua and Barbuda will now be seeing seven flights as week fro mNew York through at least the end of this year.

“Demand for Antigua and Barbuda is extremely strong at this moment, and from all indications and feedback from our airline and hotel partners who are working to keep up with the surge in consumer demand, we will have a significantly busy summer straight into winter similar to what was experienced last year,” said Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez.

The new flights compliment existing service from Miami, which American Airlines is operating daily.

They’re the product of a consistent, determined lobby effort by Antiguan tourism officials, according to Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.

“Demand is at an all-time high and we are pleased with the renewed confidence that American Airlines has placed in Antigua, by putting on these additional flights,” James said. “We now have some remarkably strong lift coming into Antigua.”

Antigua is already seeing sizzling tourism numbers, with arrival figures nearing what had been the destination’s previous tourism record in 2019.

So what do travelers need to know about visiting Antigua and Barbuda?

Fully vaccinated travelers (meaning those with either two doses of a two-shot vaccine or one of a single-dose vaccine) no longer need to show a negative test to enter the destination.

Partially vaccinated and unvaccinated visitors must present a negative PCR test taken no more than three days before arrival or a rapid antigen test taken no more than 24 hours prior to arrival in Antigua.

Unvaccinated minors between 5 and 18 must present either a PCR within 72 hours or a rapid antigen result within 24 hours prior to arrival.

Children under five do not need to test prior to arriving in Antigua and Barbuda.

There’s a New Cliffside Resort in Turks and Caicos

The long-awaited debut of the Rock House resort in Turks and Caicos is finally here.

The cliffside residential resort very quietly opened its doors last month, Caribbean Journal confirmed.

The property, set on a 14-acre site with 600 feet of water frontage (and 350 feet of beachfront), is a very different kind of resort for Providenciales, thanks to its elevation, rising to as high as 95 feet above sea level.

Rock House features a collection of 46 accommodations ranging from poolside studios to two-bedroom oceanfront homes.

    Inside a one-bedroom.

It’s the latest development for Grace Bay Resorts, best known for its signature Grace Bay Club on Grace Bay Beach, the West Bay Club and the boutique Point Grace that’s now part of its portfolio.

And it’s another new luxury property to join what is one of the region’s more impressive portfolios of high-level resorts, anchored of course by Turks and Caicos’ signature luxury resort, the renowned Shore Club on Long Bay Beach.

Indeed, Rock House is the second major resort to debut in Turks and Caicos in the last year, following last summer’s high-profile debut of the stunning new Ritz-Carlton, Grace Bay.

And while it’s a residential resort, the amenities are robust.

That includes three dining concepts: the Beach Club, the Cave Bar and the Sunset Bar. And then there’s the centerpiece 100-foot-long infinity pool set right on an oceanfront cliff.

The Beach Club is what Grace Bay Resorts calls a “hip and trendy bar and restaurant,” while the Cave Bar focuses on “handcrafted cocktails.”

The Sunset Bar, another cocktail spot, is all about the view, especially in the late hours of the day.

The resort provides service across several “lounging areas,” with personalized cuisine and drinks and towel service for guests around the property.

Turks and Caicos has been seeing sizzling visitor numbers amid the pandemic; Rock House’s debut is yet another boost for the islands.

The destination updated its entry protocols last month, lifting testing requirements for fully vaccinated travelers.

Southwest Airlines Just Relaunched Another Route to Aruba

Southwest Airlines has relaunched another nonstop route to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.

The low-cost carrier has officially resumed nonstop service between Orlando International Airport and Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport.

The relaunched service is now operating daily between Orlando and Aruba, according to Southwest Airlines.

It compliments existing service between Baltimore-Washington and Aruba; that service is currently operating once weekly on Saturdays.

Southwest Airlines’ route between Fort Lauderdale and Aruba has still not yet resumed, however. While Southwest was on a broad expansion push to the Caribbean before the onset of the pandemic, especially out of Florida, that growth seems to have slowed in the last two years as competing low-cost carriers, including Frontier Airlines, have massively ramped up their Caribbean networks.

The relaunch is a big boost for Aruba, one of the best performing destinations amid the pandemic. According to a recent report from ForwardKeys shared by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, Aruba is among the most “resilient” destinations in the wider Caribbean, based on confirmed arrivals for the summer.

The new flight service on Southwest Airlines is also indicative of the growing importance to the Caribbean of Orlando, which continues to see more and more routes to the region on a number of carriers.

Aruba has seen particularly strong tourism numbers since the Dutch Caribbean island decided in March to remove all pandemic-era pre-travel testing requirements for travelers

That means traveling to the island of Aruba is just like it was before the onset of the pandemic, with no negative test or proof of vaccination required.

The move mirrors similar moves by Dutch Caribbean destinations like Saba, Statia and Bonaire, among others.
