If you really want to get off the grid, consider the Grenadines, an archipelago of 32 compact islands governed by both St. Vincent and Grenada. Afloat in a sapphire sea, they’re a huge draw for sailors, snorkelers and beach seekers, who are practically guaranteed sugary sands, palm-studded hillsides and sunrises so spectacular that sleeping in isn’t an option. If you haven’t yet visited these idyllic outposts, there’s no time like the present. And when you finally get to touch down, here’s where we recommend you stay. Petit St Vincent What’s not to love about this all-inclusive private-island outpost, where a mere 22 cottages punctuate winsome white-sand beaches and tree-carpeted hillside? American Airlines Sees Surge in Latin America, Caribbean Traffic

After months of decline, American Airlines saw a strong uptick in Latin America and Caribbean traffic in July, according to the carrier’s latest numbers.

American Airlines Group reported 2.952 billion revenue passenger miles in Latin America and the Caribbean last month, up 3.9 percent from July 2016.

Available seat miles totaled 3.48 billion in July, itself a 3 percent jump year over year, while load factor rose by 0.7 percentage points to 84.8 percent.

For the year, Latin America and Caribbean traffic remains in decline by 1.5 percent, however.

The surge comes at a good time, as competitors like JetBlue and Southwest have seen continued strong growth in the region.
