Hyatt to Open Andaz Hotel in Turks and Caicos

Hyatt is planning a major new hotel in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The company has announced plans to debut the Andaz Turks and Caicos at Grace Bay in 2021.

The project, which will be the first Andaz-branded hotel in the Caribbean, will be a hotel and residences developed by Vista Development Ltd of Pronet Capital.

The property, which will be set on 5.5 acres on Turks and Caicos’ most famous beach, will include two buildings: a 59-key hotel and a 74-unit branded residences.

The luxe Andaz brand delivers “thoughtful, unscripted service for curious-minded guests in search of inspiring local experiences,” according to Hyatt.

“We are thrilled to announce development plans for the first Andaz branded resort and residences in the Caribbean,” said Myles McGourty, senior vice president, Latin America & Caribbean, Hyatt. “We look forward to working with Vista Development Ltd. to introduce the inspiring concept of this luxury lifestyle Hyatt brand to a world-class destination like Turks & Caicos’ coveted Grace Bay.”

The resort will also include four restaurants and bars, including an “elevated” venue offering unobstructed panoramic views, along with an “indoor wellbeing facility,” an outdoor garden yoga studio and a full-service indoor and outdoor spa.

RAD Architecture is designing the project, with interiors by Francisco Jove of Modus Operandi, who designed the interiors of the Andaz Mayakoba and the Andaz Costa Rica hotels.

Turks and Caicos’ Beach Enclave Is Expanding

The Beach Enclave villa company in Turks and Caicos is expanding this fall with a new collection on Providenciales’ Long Bay.

The new Beach Enclave Long Bay will include three villa rental opportunities in a beachfront development, the company announced in a statement.

The majority of the villas will open for rentals in November, according to the company.

There are two villa designs, with more than 7,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, with five, six and seven-bedroom homes.

All three villas come with outdoor kitchens, infinity pools, fire pits and beach decks including outdoor showers.

The smaller villa includes a media room.

Long Bay is best known as the site of the new Shore Club Turks and Caicos, one of the most luxurious hotels in the entire Caribbean.
