American Airlines Adding New Dallas-Caribbean Flights

By the Caribbean Journal staff

American Airlines is adding more new flights from Dallas-Fort Worth to the Caribbean, the airport said in a statement this week.

The new service from Dallas-Fort Worth includes flights to San Pedro Sula, Honduras and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

American will also be ramping up its flights to resort destinations in Mexico including Puerto Vallarta.

The new flights will launch in early June of 2019, the airport said.

“These new destinations demonstrate the strength of the North Texas market and the power of the American Airlines superhub at DFW, which is the largest in their system,” said John Ackerman, DFW’s Executive Vice President of Global Strategy and Development. “Building our domestic network, which is now the largest in the United States with 182 destinations, supports our current international service and positions DFW well for additional global connections in the future.”
