Carnival Is Planning Its First-Ever New York-Cuba Cruises

By the Caribbean Journal staff

Carnival Cruise Line is planning to launch its first-ever cruises from New York to Cuba in 2020.

The Carnival Radiance cruise ship will undertake the first voyages from New York as part of a wider berth that includes four-to-nine daily sailings to the Caribbean and a winter season out of Port Canaveral.

The New York-Cuba cruises will feature week-long itineraries that include a full day and an overnight stay in Havana, along with two stops in The Bahamas.

The new itineraries will come after a $200 million dry dock in Spain at the beginning of 2020.

Carnival will also be launching Cuba cruises from New York on the Carnival Sunrise ship, beginning in May 2020, the company said.
