Bahamas’ Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Planning December Reopening

One of the resorts at the Baha Mar mega resort in The Bahamas is planning to reopen, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is planning to reopen on Dec. 17, according to the property’s Web site.

The property is now accepting reservations for stays beginning on that date.

That would reconcile with recent news that Hyatt had added the property to its “Work from Hyatt” extended-stay program

The Bahamas just entered a new phase of its tourism reopening at the beginning of the month, paving the way for major hotels and resorts to reopen.

Reopening dates for the Baha Mar’s other resorts, Rosewood Baha Mar and SLS Baha Mar, have not yet been revealed.

How to Travel to St Kitts and Nevis Right Now

St Kitts and Nevis officially reopened for international tourism on Oct. 31, paving the way for the return of travelers from the United States, Canada, Europe and around the world.

A number of the country’s major hotels have also reopened, including its two flagship properties: the Park Hyatt St Kitts and the Four Seasons Resort Nevis, both of which relaunched this week, along with smaller properties like Paradise Beach in Nevis.

So what do travelers need to know?

All visitors to St Kitts and Nevis must complete a Travel Authorization Form (you can find it here) and submit a negative PCR test completed within 72 hours of travel from an accredited laboratory.

All travelers will then undergo a health screening at the airport, which involves a temperature check and a health questionnaire.

All travelers then have to download the country’s contact tracing mobile app (more details on that to come).

So where can you stay?
