Dutch airline KLM is expanding its network in the Caribbean Basin this winter with the launch of new flights to Costa Rica.
The airline is set to launch four weekly flights between Amsterdam and Guanacaste’s Liberia Airport.
The outbound flight will include a stop in San Jose, Costa Rica, according to the company.
The new flights will launch Oct. 29, operating on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
KLM will be running the service on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with 30 seats in World Business Class, 45 in Economy Comfort and 219 seats in Economy.
“Guanacaste is the second largest region of Costa Rica. The region is known for its beautiful nature, which makes it a unique holiday destination in combination with San José. All this makes Guanacaste Liberia a valuable addition to our KLM network,” said Pieter Elbers, chief executive officer of KLM.

A constellation of music stars will descend upon Aruba this weekend for the 19th annual Soul Beach Music Festival.
That will include John Legend, Charlie Wilson, Ella Mai and other stars for the event, which runs from May 22-28 and has become one of the top music events on the Caribbean festival circuit.
“We are thrilled to welcome visitors and locals to The Soul Beach Music Festival on the One Happy Island for the 19thedition,” said Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, CEO of Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA). “Bringing top musical artists and comedians together during the next five days is exciting as they will also get to discover Aruba’s culture and pristine beaches.”
This week’s concert slate will also include a star-studded mix of DJs, from DJ Frank and DJ Kid Capri to DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Outkast, among others.
“We are super excited for this year’s edition of Soul Beach. We have to thank Aruba and all of our partners for making this year’s celebration the perfect setting for a lifetime of memories,” said Mark Adkins, Executive Producer of Soul Beach Festival Productions.

Disney Cruise Line has reached a new 20-year agreement with Port Canaveral, part of a plan to expand operations and add new ships.
The new deal will keep annual calls at 150 until 2023, when Disney will increase operations to 180 calls, with 216 calls on track in 2024 going forward.
“For decades we have worked with Disney Cruise Line building a partnership based on our mutual commitment to excellence. We are tremendously proud of our joint success and looking ahead at growing an even more exciting future with Disney Cruise Line and Port Canaveral as the homeport for its newest class of vessels,” said Canaveral Port Authority Port Director and CEO Capt. John Murray.
Disney will retain its exclusive operation at Cruise Terminal 8, with plans to add new ships in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Two of them will be homeporting at Port Canaveral for at least their first five years of operation.
“Port Canaveral was the inaugural homeport for our first ship and has served as a gateway for magical cruise vacations ever since,” said Jeff Vahle, president of Disney Cruise Line. “We value our longstanding relationship with Port Canaveral and look forward to expanding our presence there as we introduce new ships and new family cruise experiences.”
Disney’s two biggest cruise ships, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, are currently homeported at Port Canaveral.
